Walk Hadrian’s Wall Path, one of England’s long distance walking trails, walking in the far North of England from Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway, via Carlisle, Castlestead, Housesteads, Chollerford, Heddon-on-the-Wall and Newcastle upon Tyne and possibly one of the oldest, with the wall having been built during the time of the Roman occupation; making this one of England’s and possibly one of the world’s oldest and most historically important walks, and walls.

The Hadrian’s Wall Path is an 86 mile way-marked long-distance walking trail. This hiking tour can be walked in either direction.

Day 1: Arrive Newcastle.
Day 2: Wallsend to Heddon-on-the-Wall. 15 miles 24 km
Day 3: Heddon-on-the-Wall to Chollerford. 16 miles 26 km
Day 4: Chollerford to Once Brewed. 13 miles 21 km
Day 5: Once Brewed to Gilsland. 9 miles 14 km
Day 6: Gilsland to Walton. 8 miles 13 km
Day 7: Walton to Carlisle. 11 miles 18 km
Day 8: Carlisle to Bowness-on-Solway. 14 miles 22 km
Day 9: Depart after breakfast: Or extend your stay and spend some time exploring.

The lengths of walk you will encounter vary from day to day on this holiday, however this being the UK you generally will not have to worry too much about extreme weather conditions and therefore would be more than able to attempt this walk throughout the year with no problems.
